8 Fun Social Media Ideas For Your Church At Christmas

08 Dec 2015

The Christmas season is here and it’s one of the best times of the year to engage your church’s online audience. For the past few years at our church, we have focused on creating fun experiences for families all December. Not only have we worked hard to make our services extra enjoyable, we’ve aimed to keep our social media posts cheerful, too.

Here are just a few of the fun social media posts that we have used during the holiday season. Feel free to take these ideas and apply them in your church!

1. Text Message Invite

This post was easily created with a phone screenshot and promotes inviting your friends.

2. Christmas Service Schedule

This is another post that was created in-house with an iPhone and our Christmas tree.

Who are you inviting? ??? #MerryAndBright #ChristmasAtPC

4. Ugly Sweater Announcement

This post was made in iMovie with simple still images and it got a big response!

5. Fun Christmas Polls

Questions are a great way to spark conversation on your church’s social posts.

Comments

  1. Have you had any problems with the Starbucks app not allowing you to take a screenshot of the barcode? A friend of mine said he tried it recently and the app prevents it now.

Or do you have a different way you do these? What’s the workflow?

  2. Dude. I love these! Especially the “best Christmas movie” poll. I love it when we go “light” during the week, knowing that there are going to be plenty of “heavy” moments during the worship service.
