Announcement slides can play a huge role in communicating information to your church family. Whether you’re displaying this loop of slides before your service begins, at certain times during your service, or even as people are leaving, they are a great way to get the word out about upcoming events.

Our church’s creative team recently took our announcements through a major redesign for the new season. (We had used the previous design for a year.) Our goal was to keep the same visual theme, but have subtle differences between each slide to catch your eye.

They nailed it!

I was so excited about how they turned out that I posted a preview on the popular Visual Church Media Facebook Group to show off the new look. In just a matter of minutes, countless likes and comments were flooding in expressing how much people liked the new look. With that came many requests for the templates, so I thought I’d share them not only with the VCM group, but with our TCP community, as well.

Because these designs are a little more complex than most announcement slides, I had to create them in Photoshop. They are pretty easy to edit if you are familiar with the program, but may be more difficult for beginners.

For everyone using different software for announcement slides, hopefully you can at least gain some inspiration from these designs.

These are great! I’ve been working toward changing the design of our announcement slides for a while now and it’s not an easy thing to do. I really like some of these ideas and will definitely be incorporating them at my church. I sure appreciate you sharing them, Kendall, but more importantly the psd files. What a treat!

  • Kyl says:

Thank you sir! Really appreciate these! A question for you though (excuse my ignorance of photoshop) when I try to edit a color on one of the slides (social media for example) I get lines from corner to corner of the image… Why is that? Just curious… will probably switch to one of our own images.

I wasn’t able to include the photos due to copyright issues, so I had to put an X over them. Wish I could’ve included them!

Thank you so much for posting and sharing these!! I am not that proficient with photoshop, so please excuse my ignorance, but I am not able to edit them … I am using Photoshop Elements 6. and can’t seem to get them to open up with the layers so I can edit the words. Any suggestions?

I was so excited when I found this article and saw these templates. I am very good with Photoshop and .psd files. This was going to save me a lot of time. Since I am a volunteer and have my own job, time of course is precious. I clicked the link that took me to dropBox but it says the files have been deleted. I am wondering if you still have these available somewhere and if you could send me a link. Thanks!
